What do you think of this combination of stamp sets? Forever Blossoms, Buffalo Check and Perennial Birthday. When you look at the stamp sets you would not think they could make a beautiful card together, but I do think that they do. I’ve put them together to create a bit of a “country” feel to this card.
The Granny Apple Green ink and Buffalo Check stamp set were first applied to Whisper White Thick Cardstock and then run through the die cutting machine with the Brick & Mortar 3D Embossing Folder. I then took the wood pattern from the Pressed Petals Specialty Designer Series Paper (DSP) and embossed the sentiment from the Perennial Birthday stamp set.
The floral image from the Forever Blossoms set is stamped on the Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper with Saddle Brown StazOn. With the AquaPainter I started the first coat of the flowers with Blushing Bride Refill Ink and then let that dry. The second coat uses the Calypso Coral Refill Ink and then added Daffodil Delight Refill Ink to the centers. The Granny Apply Green and Old Olive Refill Inks were applied to the leaves. The flower was then die cut with the Cherry Blossoms Dies and added Dimensionals.
For the inside of the card a layer of Calypso Coral Cardstock adds a little extra color and then a piece of Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper is stamped with the flower again and the same process as mentioned above was applied to create the flowers. To finish off the card, I added Irridescent Sequins.
