Today’s card features the beautiful Painted Poppies Bundle by Stampin’ Up!
The flowers are colored with the Calypso Coral and Basic Black Stampin’ Write Markers and stamped onto Whisper White Cardstock and then the solid image from the stamp set is stamped off in Calypso Coral and then die cut.
The leaves are stamped in Pear Pizzazz and Garden Green ink and then a splatter image from the stamp set is added. Take a Sponge Dauber and add ink to the leaves then die cut. The floral stem is stamped in Pear Pizzazz and ink is added with a Sponge Dauber. The entire stem and flower are “fussy cut”. Stamp the sentiment in Old Olive.
Die cut the swirls in Night of Navy Cardstock and run the Very Vanilla Cardstock layer with Parisian Flourish 3D Embossing Folder through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss machine. First layer the embossed piece with Dimensionals to the base. Then add the swirls with Multipurpose Liquid Glue so that you have the ability to move the swirls around. Then add the DSP from the Boho Indigo Medley with Dimensionals. Start layering the flowers, leaves and stems using Multipurpose Liquid Glue so that you have time to move them around before the glue dries. Add the sentiment in Old Olive ink and the Woven Thread Sequins.
When you are stamping the flowers and stem, be sure to make an extra for the inside of the card as seen below. For the envelope use the Pear Pizzazz ink pad for the stem only and then the Calypso Coral marker for the flower.
