On last night’s facebook live I created a card featuring the Poinsettia Petals Bundle along with the Poinsettia Place DSP. I love to work with traditional colors for Christmas, but I chose for this card to have a bit of a country Christmas feel by choosing the wood background piece of DSP.
The poinsettias, leaves and berry images were first stamped with Black Staz-On Ink onto Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper. I used Water Painters to paint them with the Old Olive and Real Red Re-Inkers. The image is carried over to the inside of the card as well.
The sentiment is stamped onto the Old Olive stitched shape with Tuxedo Black Memento Ink and the Whisper White stitched shape is run through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine with the Scripty 3d Embossing Folder. To finish off the front of the card I added my favorite Whisper White Polka Dot Tulle Ribbon and Linen Thread.
The leaves and berries are layered behind the poinsettias with Mini Glue Dots and then Dimensionals are added to the entire piece and adhered.
The poinsettias, leaf and berries are carried over into the inside of the card and envelope (not shown).
