On last night’s Facebook Live I created a card/box gift set. The Prized Peony stamp set was the focal point. Below you will find a diagram for the box (to learn how to put the box together – join my facebook group at www.facebook.com/groups/thepaperpapillon – video dated 7/5/20).
A Whisper White Craft Ink pad is swiped over the Flirty Flamingo Cardstock. The Peony is inked in Versamark and then the White Emboss Powder is added. The flower is watercolored with Water Painters in Bumble Bee and Granny Apple Green ink pads. Use the Heat Tool in between to dry the watercolors and add additional ink and dry again. Use the Peony Dies to die-cut the flower.
Use Basic Black Cardstock, Versamark and White Emboss Powder to stamp the sentiment and die-cut with the Stitched Rectangle Dies, Add to the top of the flower with Multipurpose Liquid Glue (this will help it to stick to the embossed flower better).
On the inside of the card I added a piece of Flirty Flamingo Cardstock and then used Bumble Bee & Granny Apple Green Stampin’ Write Markers to color the small flower and stamp on Whisper White Cardstock.
Take the Bumble Bee Gingham Ribbon and place it on the sentiment with glue dots first and then take the Linen Thread and wrap a piece of Polka Dot Tulle Ribbon before tying a bow and put it on top of the gingham bow with a glue dot.
And that’s a wrap!
These are the measurements for the box.
- Cut cardstock to 9-1/2″ x 6″
- Score the long side at 1/2″ / 3-1/2″ / 5″ / 8″
- Score the short side at 1-1/2″
- Make the cuts as you see in the diagram.
- Place a strip of Tear & Tape on the 1/2″ tab and on the flap on the bottom that will have the seam going toward the back of the box (you can see this on the Facebook Live dated 7/5/20)
And here is Capri photobombing my photo! Isn’t she a cutie (and spoiled too)!!!!
