I created this Simple & Sweet card on Tuesday’s Facebook Live. I found this piece of Designer Series Paper from the Peony Garden collection. It reminds me of the formica countertop that my parents had in the kitchen when I was growing up in the 60’s& 70’s. It brought back fond memories for sure.
First I adhered the marble DSP to the Whisper White Thick Cardstock. I took another piece of Cardstock and punched it with the Fancy Tag Topper Punch and stamped the sentiment in Basic Gray Ink. The leaves were stamped with the Forever Fern Cling Stamp and inked in Mossy Meadow ink and die cut with the Forever Flourishing Dies.
Next on Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper I added some water with the Water Painter by squeezing the brush. I then added a couple of drops of Flirty Flamingo Ink Refill and spread it around the paper. The Heat Tool is used to dry the watercoloring. The butterflies were stamped with Versamark ink and White Emboss Powder is added and a Heat Tool is used. The Linen Thread is colored with the Dark Mossy Meadow Blend.
