Make A Thank You Card with Flowers of Friendship

Followers of The Paper Papillon’s Facebook page got to see this Make a Thank You Card with Flowers of Friendship I made live last night. I always go live on Thursday nights at 7pm EST so be sure you follow me over there so you can join the live next week!

During the live I used the Flowers of Friendship stamp set from the 2021-2022 Annual Catalog. This floral stamp has a minimalist look that paired perfectly with all the layers on this card. Embossing the base layer adds so much texture. I just love the embossed look!

Make A Thank You Card with Flowers of Friendship Colors

I wanted to use pinks and greens as the main colors on this card, and I paired it with pops of black. The green cardstock is Just Jade, which is a 2020-2022 In Color that will be retiring in June! I also used the Mint Macaron and Flirty Flamingo Stampin’ Blends to color in the flower.

Card Details

Scalloped edges on two of the layers adds a beautiful touch to this thank you card. The Scalloped Contours Dies are the perfect tool for the job! I used the Brick and Mortar 3D Embossing Folder for the brick texture on the base layer. Don’t you think the brick embossing looks lovely with the scalloped edges?

The sentiment is heat embossed using White Emboss powder, Versamark, and our Heat Tool. Flowers for Every Season Ribbon Combo has the perfect ribbon elements to add some interest. I used the Flirty Flamingo Blends to color the White 1/4″ Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon. Of course, we had to throw on some of those shiny Iridescent Rhinestone Basic Jewels!

There is a card mat inside that we also stamped the flower image on and colored in. Decorating the inside is a nice little surprise when the card is opened! And don’t forget to add the same finishing touch to the envelope to really make a coordinating set!
